Actress Raveena Tandon who is a darling for millions of a generation has shared her thoughts on the pay gap between male and female actors in Bollywood during the 90s.
She explained how female actors were paid much less compared to their male counterparts often needing to work on multiple films to earn what male actors made in one.
She confessed that she had to work in 15 films to match the payment of a hero gets in one film.
Well, what Raveena needs to know is the situation is same for heroines even now nationwide.
Raveena also mentioned that male actors had the privilege of being selective with their projects while female actors had to work with many more co-stars to sustain their careers.
Raveena also revealed that she turned down certain projects because she felt uncomfortable with the costumes or dance moves.
She emphasized the importance of staying true to herself even if it meant sacrificing opportunities.
On the work side Raveena's latest film Patna Shuklla is available on Disney+ Hotstar following her appearance in another original production called Karmma Calling on the same platform.
