Singer Calls The Internet User 'Illiterate'

In response, Adnan, who became an Indian citizen in 2016, strongly defended himself on social media, calling the troll "illiterate" with a laughing emoji. He also replied humorously to others mocking him online.

The backlash against Adnan reignited discussions on national security and loyalty. Despite having legally acquired Indian citizenship, some still targeted him, wrongly linking him to Pakistan. Adnan, with his usual wit, dismissed the accusations, reinforcing his emotional and legal commitment to India, even as the government focuses on removing unauthorized foreigners.

Adnan had earlier revealed that gaining Indian citizenship was a long process, with his application initially rejected twice. He clarified that his move was personal, not political, and has continuously shown his love for India.
