Siddhant Chaturvedi, who rose to fame with Gully Boy in 2019, recently shared his struggles in Bollywood. Despite receiving offers he was "blacklisted" for refusing roles that weren't lead parts as he wanted to be a hero and not settle for side characters.
He recalled rejecting multiple films including an offer from Ayan Mukerji for Brahmastra. His father disapproved of the role questioning the script and his part saying, “Don’t sell your destiny.”
Siddhant shared how his father's advice guided his decisions. When Gully Boy came his way, director Zoya Akhtar offered him the full script which surprised him. His father despite the presence of Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt, highlighted two key scenes of Siddhant's character predicting they would define his success.
Now Siddhant is preparing for his next film, Yudhra releasing on October 20, 2024 where he stars alongside Malavika Mohanan in an action-packed role.
