Shraddha Reveals Script Locked After 3 Years

Actress Shraddha Kapoor is celebrating the success of Stree 2: Sarkate Ka Aatank, 2024's highest-grossing Hindi film. Meanwhile producer Nikhil Dwivedi confirmed that his ambitious project Naagin starring Shraddha is still on track and set to begin production in 2025.

Dwivedi shared that the script took three years and was rewritten thrice to perfect it. He emphasized that Naagin is a unique take on Indian folklore and unrelated to past films. He highlighted India's rich storytelling heritage contrasting it with the excitement around Western concepts like Spider-Man saying Naagin will offer a fresh supernatural experience.

Shraddha was the first choice for the role and enthusiastically accepted it. Dwivedi praised her ethereal quality making her ideal for the character. Shraddha previously expressed her excitement citing her admiration for Sridevi’s iconic roles in Nagina and Nigahen and her long-standing desire to portray such characters rooted in Indian folklore.
