Shocking 'Sexual Slave' Abuse Explained

Malayalam actress Sowmya has accused a Tamil director of severe mental, physical and sexual assault including the unexplainable abusive acts for "entertainment." In a deeply emotional interview with NDTV she described being groomed as a "sex slave" by the director whom she met at 18.

Although she has not revealed his identity publicly she plans to share it with a Kerala police special investigation team.

Sowmya recounted how the director manipulated her posing as a father figure while gradually abusing her. He even claimed he wanted a child with her. Despite her discomfort she felt pressured to act in the movie after her family was coerced. Over time the director assaulted her repeatedly all while calling her his "daughter."

Sowmya also revealed that she faced sexual abuse in the Malayalam film industry enduring violations from co-stars and directors. After 30 years of silence she urges survivors to come forward and report abuse.
