Shilpa Shetty Denies ED Raid; Lawyer Clarifies

Actor Shilpa Shetty's lawyer refuted reports of an Enforcement Directorate (ED) raid at her residence in connection with a pornography case involving her husband, Raj Kundra. Advocate Prashant Patil labeled the claims as "misleading" and emphasized that Shetty has no involvement in any alleged offenses.

Patil clarified that the ongoing investigation concerns Kundra who is cooperating with authorities. He urged media outlets to avoid using Shetty's images in coverage warning against irresponsible journalism.

Earlier ED conducted searches at 15 locations including Kundra's premises in a money laundering probe linked to alleged distribution of explicit content via the 'Hotshots' app. This case follows earlier police FIRs and charge sheets against Kundra.

In a separate case ED had attached assets worth Rs 98 crore belonging to Kundra and Shetty which was stayed by the Bombay High Court. Kundra maintains his innocence claiming no active involvement in the alleged crimes.
