Samantha Unconditionally Apologize

Self-love, health, and mental peace — these are Samantha's top priorities right now. She’s living life on her own terms, choosing films that resonate with her, and using social media to share meaningful messages, especially about women empowerment and personal care. She considers this a responsibility.

In a recent interview, Samantha opened up about the changes she has undergone. “It’s been almost 20 years since I entered the film industry. Back then, the yardstick for stardom was how many movies we did, how much remuneration we received, and how many multinational brands we endorsed,” she shared.

“I worked non-stop, took on more projects than most, and became one of the highest-paid actresses. I was the face of many multinational brands. At the time, I felt proud of all this. But now, with maturity, I’ve also developed a stronger sense of social responsibility. I unconditionally apologize to society for promoting products in the past that may have been harmful.”

Samantha revealed that although she still gets offers from many brands — with some even offering crores of rupees in the past year — she has voluntarily let go of around 15 such endorsements.

“The commercial offers are still coming in,” she continued, “but I don’t agree to them as readily as I used to. I now consult with medical professionals to ensure that the products are not harmful to society before agreeing to endorse them.”

She added that she’s also become selective about films. “I only accept roles that I believe hold value. If I don’t find a role I like, I’d rather produce my own film than act in something that doesn’t align with me. I will not betray myself just for the sake of being in a film.”

Currently, Samantha is acting in the series Raktha Brahmand and the movie Maa Inti Bangaram. She also produced the film Shubham, which is set to release soon.
