Actress Samantha Ruth Prabhu recently spoke out about women's safety in response to the horrific Kolkata rape and murder case.
She emphasized that ensuring women's safety should be a priority and called for immediate change. Samantha expressed her hopes for change during the World Pickleball event highlighting the urgency of the issue.
This comes after other actresses like Kareena Kapoor Khan and Preity Zinta also condemned the crime. The case involves the discovery of a semi nude body of a female postgraduate trainee doctor in a Kolkata hospital leading to the arrest of a community volunteer. The Calcutta High Court has now transferred the investigation to the CBI.
On the work front Samantha will appear in the upcoming series Citadel: Honey Bunny alongside Varun Dhawan, set for release in November. Personally she is rumored to be dating the series director Raj Nidimoru after her separation from actor Naga Chaitanya in 2021.
