Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan was stabbed inside his residence by an assailant, who has now been apprehended by the police. The Mumbai police held a press conference earlier to reveal the details of the case.

Using the alias Bijoy Das, his real name was revealed to be Mohammad Shariful Islam Shahjad.

The accused had no valid documents proving Indian citizenship and was confirmed to be a Bangladeshi national.

Charges under attempted murder and various sections of the Passport Act have been filed against him.

While Shahjad had no prior criminal record, the police suspect he entered Saif ’s home with the intention of burglary.

A man was detained the day after the incident based on CC TV footage. However, further investigation revealed he was unrelated to the case, and he was released after five hours of questioning.

Shahjad was spotted in a shop buying a mobile phone cover. Using this footage, the police tracked down his residence.

Final Arrest:

Shahjad had turned off his phone and avoided returning to his residence, hiding instead in the Mad Forests. The police eventually located and arrested him there.
