Renowned Malayalam Director Passes Away

Veteran Malayalam filmmaker Shafi, aged 56, passed away this morning in Kochi while undergoing treatment following a heart attack he suffered on January 16.

Shafi was celebrated for his contribution to comedy films and had directed over 50 movies in his career. His debut film, One Man Show, marked the beginning of a legacy in Malayalam cinema. Some of his popular films include Kalyanaraman, Pulival Kalyanam, Thommanum Makkalum, Two Countries, Children’s Park, and Sherlock Toms.

His last directorial venture was Aanandam Paramanandam, released in 2022. Shafi's passing is a significant loss to the Malayalam film industry, leaving a void in the world of comedy and entertainment.
