Ravi Kishan On Eating 160 Paans

The film Laapataa Ladies, directed by Kiran Rao and produced by Aamir Khan Productions, has been chosen as India’s official entry for the Oscars. The film stars Nitanshi Goel, Pratibha Ranta, Sparsh Shrivastava, and Ravi Kishan, who plays a kind and humorous police officer.

In a recent interview Ravi Kishan expressed his excitement, saying, “I never thought one of my films would reach the Oscars. It’s all thanks to Kiran Rao and Aamir Khan’s hard work.”

When asked about his contribution he laughed “I can’t praise myself, that’s your job!” He shared a funny story about eating 160 paans during the shoot. “Kiranji suggested samosas for my character, but I chose paan,” he joked.

Kishan also shared the themes of the movie, like corruption and women’s empowerment, and mentioned how his character, though corrupt, had a conscience.

As for joining the team in Los Angeles, he said he’d love to, depending on his schedule.
