Bollywood actress Raveena Tandon faced a major controversy after being accused of assaulting and abusing an elderly woman and two others in Bandra of Mumbai on Saturday night.
The victims alleged that Tandon was drunk and her husband Anil Thadani attempted to settle the issue outside the police station.
The complainant Mohammed, claimed that Tandon's driver ran over his mother. When confronted Tandon, allegedly intoxicated abused and hit his mother, niece and sister.
A viral video shows locals surrounding Tandon near Rizvi College with the actress pleading not to be hit.
Mohammed also reported that despite spending four hours at the Khar police station, the officers refused to register his complaint and while Tandon went home Thadani stayed at the station trying to resolve the matter.
Anil Thadani, a prominent film distributor known for major films like "Pushpa 2" and "Adipurush," was seen at the police station later that night to clear his wife's name.
He allegedly tried to settle the matter but the victims demanded justice for the assault on their mother. Raveena Tandon and Anil Thadani have not yet made an official statement regarding the incident.
