Ram Gopal Varma On Darshan In Murder Case

On June 13, Ram Gopal Varma tweeted about the "bizarreness" of star worship, where one die-hard fan kills another who interfered in a star's personal life. He also commented on fans trying to control their idols' lives. 

Varma did not name anyone in his post. Reports say the 33-year-old victim was a devoted fan of Sandalwood actor Darshan, who allegedly paid two men Rs 5 lakh each to take the blame for Renuka's murder. 

Renuka, a pharmacy worker, had sent obscene messages to Darshan's rumored partner, Pavithra Gowda, which enraged Darshan. 

Police have arrested Darshan's aide Nagaraj and co-star Pradosh. Nagaraj managed Darshan's dealings and his Mysuru farmhouse. 

The investigation revealed Renuka was beaten with a belt and sticks and thrown against a wall leading to his death. 

Pavithra and Darshan had reportedly been in a relationship for ten years. 

Besides Darshan and Pavithra ten others are in police custody related to the case.
