Rakul in Talks to Join Tiwari's Ramayan as Shurpanakha

Rumors are circulating that Rakul Preet Singh might be the newest addition to the ensemble cast of Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayan.

Sources suggest that the actress is in advanced negotiations to portray the character of Shurpanakha, the sister of the demon-king Raavan.

For those familiar with the mythological epic, Shurpanakha's role is crucial in the narrative, as she sets the stage for Raavan’s abduction of Sita, leading to Lord Ram and Laxman’s confrontation with him and the battle against Lanka.

Reportedly, Rakul is enthusiastic about taking on the negative character and has already undergone look tests for the role.

If the discussions pan out, this epic trilogy will mark her first project following her recent wedding to actor-producer Jackky Bhagnani.

Already confirmed for the project are Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Ram, Sai Pallavi as Sita, Sunny Deol as Hanuman, Yash as Raavan, and Lara Dutta as Kaikeyi.

Nitesh Tiwari is slated to commence filming in March, promising an exciting adaptation of the timeless tale.
