Rajinikanth's House Flooded Amid Chennai Rains

Chennai has been hit by heavy rains once again, causing widespread flooding across the city. The downpour, which has been continuous for the past 24 hours, briefly paused yesterday evening, only to resume today. Low-lying areas in the city have been particularly affected, with flooding now reaching the home of superstar Rajinikanth.

Rajinikanth resides in the upscale Poes Garden area, which has not been spared by the flooding this time. Water has entered the compound of his house, submerging the pathways leading to his residence. Rajinikanth is currently at home, and the roads leading to his house have also been flooded.

Just a few weeks ago, Rajinikanth underwent surgery after a brief illness, where doctors placed a stent. He was discharged from the hospital shortly after and has been resting at home since then.

Several other celebrities also reside in the Poes Garden area. Recently, actor Dhanush purchased a mansion worth Rs 150 crores in the same locality.

A red alert has been declared in Chennai, with schools and colleges closed, and IT employees advised to work from home. The meteorological department has predicted that the heavy rains will continue today and tomorrow.
