In Pushpa 2: The Rule, Shekhawat is portrayed as a constant antagonist to Pushpa Raj. However, it seems the troubles aren't limited to the reel world. In real life, the use of the name "Shekhawat" has sparked controversy, creating issues for the film's makers.
The film has garnered immense popularity in the northern belt, captivating audiences in states across North India. As the movie gains traction, the name "Shekhawat," used repeatedly in the film to depict a negative character, has stirred objections from certain quarters.
Raj Shekhawat, a leader representing the Rajput community, has raised allegations that the repeated use of "Shekhawat" to depict a villain disrespects their lineage. He has accused the makers of insulting Kshatriyas and called upon members of the Karni Sena to prepare for action.
The Rajput faction has demanded the immediate removal of the word "Shekhawat" from the film. They have even threatened to attack the producers’ residences if their demands are not met.
Amidst this controversy, Pushpa 2 continues to dominate the box office in North India, further intensifying the debate surrounding the issue.
