The upcoming film Kannappa has been generating buzz, but it hasn’t fully captured the public’s attention despite multiple promotions and first-look releases. Recently, Manchu Vishnu and Mohan Babu even undertook several pilgrimage trips to promote the film. However, none of these efforts have managed to create a significant impact.
One of the film’s major promotional assets is the involvement of superstar Prabhas, who plays a key role in the movie. His look was highly anticipated and was intended to be revealed strategically, but it has unexpectedly leaked online, shocking the production team.
Following the leak, the Kannappa team acted swiftly, filing a police complaint and announcing a reward of Rs 5 lakh for information leading to the identification of those responsible. The team also urged the public not to share the leaked image, explaining that it’s a work-in-progress image that not only undermines their hard work but also affects the efforts of 2,000 VFX artists involved in the project.
In a statement, the Kannappa team expressed their disappointment, saying, “A crucial image from the film, still in production, has been leaked. This leak not only harms our efforts but also impacts the lives of the many VFX artists working on it. Anyone sharing the leaked image will face legal consequences, and we are offering a reward of Rs 5 lakh for anyone who identifies the source of the leak.”
Manchu Vishnu had previously mentioned that Prabhas’ look and role in Kannappa are unique and would be revealed at an appropriate time. However, the leak has disrupted their plans, leaving the team scrambling to control the damage.
