Popular Actor Emotional On Son's Death

Shekhar Suman, the popular actor for a generation of audience now is eagerly awaiting the release of 'Heeramandi' directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali. 

In a recent interview he became emotional while remembering his older son Aayush who passed away at 10 years old.

Speaking to Siddharth Kannan, Shekhar revealed the immense pain he felt after losing Aayush. 

He expressed how Aayush was dear to him and losing him felt like losing a part of his heart. 

Shekhar admitted to feeling lifeless and only pretending to be happy for the sake of supporting his family financially after Aayush's passing due to a heart ailment in 1995.

Despite the sorrow Shekhar emphasized the importance of carrying on and running his household. In 'Heeramandi' Shekhar will play the character Zulfikar. 

The series featuring a star studded cast including Manisha Koirala, Sonakshi Sinha, Aditi Rao Hydari, Richa Chadha, Sanjeeda Sheikh, Sharmin Segal, Farida Jalal, Taha Shah Badussha, Fardeen Khan, and Adhyayan Suman is set to premiere on Netflix starting May 1.
