Pooja Entertainment, founded by Vashu Bhagnani, had a legal conflict with Netflix over non-payment of Rs. 47.37 crores for streaming rights of Mission Raniganj, Bade Miyan Chote Miyan, and Hero No. 1. The dispute led to a complaint with Mumbai Police's Economic Offences Wing in 2024.
Recent reports suggest that both parties have reached a settlement, with Netflix reportedly paying over Rs. 20 crores. While the exact amount remains undisclosed, the agreement marks a fresh start for their collaboration.
Earlier, Netflix denied the allegations, claiming Pooja Entertainment owed them money. Despite legal summons, the streaming giant initially did not respond. Now, with the settlement, the Bhagnanis, including Jackky Bhagnani and Deepshikha Deshmukh, look forward to continued partnerships. Pooja Entertainment has produced iconic films like Coolie No. 1 and Rehnaa Hai Terre Dil Mein.
