Pankaj Tripathi, part of the blockbuster Stree 2, remains grounded despite its success. Calling the film’s achievements a “great joy,” he emphasizes the importance of staying composed, saying, “Success shouldn’t affect your mindset; there should be balance.”
Tripathi attributes Stree 2’s opening weekend success to the audience’s love for the original film. He notes that franchise films often bypass the usual wait for reviews, as viewers eagerly anticipate sequels. However, he cautions that not all hits make good franchises, stressing that uniqueness is as crucial as success, which Stree delivered.
Commenting on Bollywood’s mixed box office results this year, he points out that audience preferences are unpredictable and heavily influenced by trailers, not gimmicks.
Sharing an anecdote, Tripathi revealed the producers’ bonus clause for Stree 2—a goal exceeded within two days, reflecting the film’s massive popularity. Despite the industry’s ups and downs, Tripathi values creativity over commercial outcomes.
