Nora Fatehi, recently seen in Madgaon Express, shared her challenging journey from Canada to success in the Indian film industry. In an interview with Rajeev Masand at the Indian Festival of Melbourne she recounted a discouraging audition for Yash Raj Films where despite preparing extensively, she received negative feedback.
This rejection led to a moment of frustration where she broke her cellphone in anger. However this experience prompted her to embrace patience realizing that everyone has their time for success.
Nora reflected on her past reactions to rejection acknowledging that the projects she had wanted often failed to perform well. She emphasized the importance of avoiding a victim mentality as an outsider encouraging others to focus on self-improvement instead. Her persistence paid off leading to significant success with popular item songs like “Dilbar” and “Garmi,” which solidified her reputation as a talented dancer in the industry.
