In a surprising turn of events, the chargesheet filed by the Mumbai Police in connection with Saif Ali Khan’s stabbing case has revealed crucial details about the fingerprint evidence. Despite initial suspicions, the police found that the fingerprints collected from various locations inside the actor's Mumbai flat, including doors and cupboards, did not match the accused, Shariful Islam. Of the 20 samples sent to the state CID’s Fingerprint Bureau, only one matched, which was recovered from the eighth floor of the building, casting doubt on the initial fingerprint evidence.
Further revelations in the chargesheet also included Shariful Islam’s illegal money transfers to his family in Bangladesh. The police revealed that he sent money illegally through a relative, Abdulla Alim, using a Bangalore-based account. Additionally, the chargesheet, spanning over 1,000 pages, includes significant evidence, such as facial recognition tests, forensic reports, and matching knife fragments, which support the prosecution’s case against Shariful.
The actor was attacked on the night of January 16 by an intruder, resulting in serious injuries. The incident occurred after Saif intervened in an altercation involving a female employee, leading to a violent confrontation.
