Netflix’s Adolescence Wins Praise from Alia Bhatt

Netflix's new series Adolescence, directed by Philip Barantini, has become a sensation for its unique storytelling—each episode is filmed in a single take. Bollywood filmmakers like Anurag Kashyap and Shekhar Kapur have lauded the show, and now actress Alia Bhatt has also shared her admiration.

Alia praised the show on Instagram, calling it “perfection.” She highlighted its writing, cinematography, and the cast’s raw, real performances. She marveled at the dedication of the entire crew, saying their energy was “palpable and moving.” Adolescence, created by Jack Thorne and Stephen Graham, follows a 13-year-old boy arrested for his classmate’s murder.

Meanwhile, Alia has two major films lined up—Alpha, YRF’s first female-led spy thriller set for Christmas 2024, and Love & War, Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s highly anticipated project with Ranbir Kapoor and Vicky Kaushal, releasing in March 2026.
