'My Husband is a Gem': AR Rahman's Wife Clears the Air

After 29 years of marriage, renowned music composer AR Rahman recently announced his separation from his wife, Saira Banu, sparking widespread speculation. Interestingly, Saira was the first to make the announcement, creating a buzz across the internet.

The news led to a flurry of rumors, with many narratives holding Rahman accountable. However, Saira Banu came forward to defend her husband and clarify the situation.

"I request Tamil media and YouTube channels to stop publishing negative stories about Rahman. He is one of the kindest people in this world. I love him deeply, and he loves me just as much," Saira said in a statement.

She explained her decision to temporarily stay away from Rahman due to health issues. Currently undergoing treatment in Mumbai, Saira expressed her wish not to burden Rahman or their children during this time.

"We haven’t made any official announcements yet. By God's grace, once my treatment is complete, I will return to Chennai and share everything. Until then, I request everyone to avoid spreading stories against Rahman," she added.

On the same day Rahman announced their separation, Mohini Dey, a member of his team, revealed her divorce from her husband, fueling further speculations about Rahman’s personal life. Responding firmly, Rahman has reportedly initiated legal action against media outlets spreading false information.
