Miss Pandey On Body Shaming

Shalini Pandey, known for her role as Preethi in 'Arjun Reddy' shared her experience with body shaming after the film's release. 

In an interview she was asked why she didn't gain the same acclaim as Kiara Advani who played the role in 'Kabir Singh'. 

Shalini revealed that she was body shamed and exploited due to her lack of understanding of the Southern language and industry.

Shalini explained that, being new and naive she struggled to meet expectations and faced criticism despite her athletic background from sports. 

She continues to encounter body shaming today. "Arjun Reddy," directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga follows a talented but troubled surgeon played by Vijay Deverakonda dealing with anger issues and substance abuse after losing his girlfriend. 

The film both praised and criticized was a significant success for Vijay and was remade into "Kabir Singh" in Hindi and Tamil.

Despite early challenges Shalini Pandey is establishing herself in the film industry demonstrating resilience and determination. 

Her journey highlights the importance of perseverance and self-belief making her an inspiration to many.
