Manjummel Boys is currently on a record-breaking streak and shows no signs of slowing down at the global box office.
Having recently surpassed the 50 crore milestone, the film has now achieved another significant feat within a short span of time. This latest Malayalam blockbuster has soared past the global century mark, setting it on course to make history.
Directed by Chidambaram, this latest release from Mollywood is a gripping survival thriller that hit theatres on February 22nd. Since its debut, the film has garnered overwhelmingly positive responses, propelling it to become an unstoppable force at the box office.
With an impressive start of 3.40 crores at the Indian box office, the film saw its highest single-day collection this past Sunday (day 11), bringing in a remarkable 9.70 crores net.
Following an extraordinary second weekend, Manjummel Boys continued its strong performance into the second Monday, grossing 4.35 crores in India.
As of now, after 12 days, the film has amassed a staggering net collection of 52 crores in India, equivalent to 61.36 crores gross. Additionally, in the overseas market, the film has achieved tremendous success, grossing 41 crores thus far.
Combining the gross from India and overseas, the film's worldwide box office total stands at an impressive 102.36 crores gross after just 12 days.
With this achievement, Manjummel Boys becomes the fourth Malayalam film in history to surpass the 100 crore gross milestone at the worldwide box office. Remarkably, it is the first Malayalam film to accomplish this feat in 2024.
Given its current pace and the upcoming release of its Telugu version on March 15th, Manjummel Boys is poised to continue its remarkable run in theatres.
It is well on its way to comfortably surpassing the records set in 2018 and becoming the highest-grossing Malayalam film in history.
As of now, the Chidambaram-directed film holds the fourth position in the rankings.
