Former Bollywood actress Mamta Kulkarni has returned to the Kinnar Akhada as Mahamandaleshwar after initially resigning. In a video statement, she explained that her resignation was made in an emotional moment, but her guru, Acharya Mahamandaleshwar Lakshmi Narayan Tripathi, did not accept it. She reaffirmed her commitment to serving Sanatan Dharma under her guru’s guidance.

Kulkarni initially stepped down on February 10, citing opposition to her appointment and allegations against her guru. She denied claims that she paid for the position, stating she had been asked for money but refused. She also emphasized that her resignation was influenced by a divine command. Her official anointment took place on January 24, where she received the name Yamai Mamta Nand Giri.

Meanwhile, controversy surrounds the Akhada, as Ajay Das announced Tripathi’s removal for violating Sanatan Dharma principles by appointing Kulkarni, who has been linked to a sedition case.
