Mallika Sherawat's Take On 'Chamchagiri'

Mallika Sherawat, recently seen in Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video, opened up about the challenges of Bollywood in a podcast interview. 

She discussed how being diplomatic and engaging in "chamchagiri" (flattery) is crucial for success, as offending people can lead to losing roles. Coming from Haryana she said she's not comfortable with such practices. Mallika also shared past struggles due to her bold on-screen image where some male actors assumed she would accept off-screen advances. 

She firmly rejected these advances refusing to compromise her values. Despite her bold roles she maintained boundaries and didn’t give in to the industry's expectations. Mallika, who took a five-year break and was last seen in RK/RKay (2022) has worked in both Bollywood and international films.
