Mukesh Khanna is the veteran TV actor best known for his portrayal of Bheeshma in Doordarshan's Mahabharata in the late 1980s and later as Shaktimaan in the 1990s.
Now, he has unexpectedly made headlines once again.
While there is speculation of Bollywood actor Ranveer Singh stepping into the role of Shaktimaan in an upcoming project, Mukesh Khanna who is renowned for his portrayal of the iconic superhero has voiced his discontent with the casting choice.
A few years back it was announced that a film adaptation of the beloved character was in the works.
While Ranveer's name has frequently surfaced in discussions surrounding the film the actor has neither confirmed nor denied his involvement in portraying Shaktimaan.
In a recent development Mukesh Khanna has criticized those endorsing Ranveer for the role and has offered guidance to the actor regarding his aspirations to be part of the project.
Drawing attention to Ranveer's controversial nude photoshoot, Mukesh Khanna remarked, "Perhaps he should relocate to countries like Finland or Spain, known for their nudist communities. He may find suitable roles there."
Khanna emphasized that an actor with such an image is unsuitable for the role of Shaktimaan, regardless of his star status. "I have taken a firm stand," he conveyed.
Furthermore Khanna advised producers to reconsider their decision regarding Ranveer. It remains to be seen how Ranveer will respond to these remarks.
