Kannada Actor Darshan Arrested In Murder Case

Kannada actor Darshan Thoogudeepa was arrested on June 11 in connection with a murder case. He was taken from a hotel in Mysuru to Bengaluru by the police. 

The case involves the murder of Renukaswamy from Chitradurga, who was reportedly killed due to online harassment of Pavithra Gowda a close friend of Darshan. 

Renukaswamy was allegedly tortured and killed in a car shed and his body was dumped in Kamakshipalya.

The police had initially questioned nine people during which Darshan's name came up leading to his arrest. 

The investigation began with a missing person's report in Chitradurga and three individuals initially confessed to the murder over financial disputes. 

However further inquiries pointed to Darshan's involvement.

S. Girish, DCP West Division confirmed the arrest and stated that the case was registered at Kamakshipalya Police Station. A total of ten people are in custody and the investigation is ongoing. 

Following the arrest security was increased around Darshan's residence in Rajarajeshwari Nagar, Bengaluru.
