The long-running legal feud between Kangana Ranaut and Javed Akhtar has finally ended. Kangana recently shared a picture with Akhtar, signaling their settlement after five years of legal battles. Akhtar confirmed the resolution, stating that Kangana apologized, withdrew her statements, and assured she wouldn’t repeat them. He emphasized that he sought no money, only an apology.
The dispute began in 2020 when Akhtar sued Kangana for defamation, claiming she tarnished his reputation by linking him to Sushant Singh Rajput’s death. Kangana alleged that Akhtar pressured her to apologize to Hrithik Roshan over their past public feud. The controversy stemmed from their rumored relationship during Krrish 3, which Hrithik never acknowledged.
In retaliation, Kangana filed a counter-complaint in 2021, accusing Akhtar of criminal intimidation. Now that both cases have been withdrawn, Akhtar humorously remarked that he might look for a new challenge.
