Actress Jaya Bhattacharya, known for her role in Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi, rescued a 1.5-month-old puppy from Naigaon, Mumbai, after the animal was brutally abused sexually by a man. Despite filing an FIR and the police arresting the accused, he was released on bail.
In a heartfelt video, Jaya cradled the critically injured puppy, expressing frustration over the lack of justice. She ensured the puppy received proper medical care and treatment. Actress Shibani Dandekar also offered help, commenting on Jaya’s video, “I would like to help find him a loving home.” Jaya replied that the puppy remains under care and is not yet fit for adoption.
Jaya, who is actively involved in a dog rescue NGO, continues to advocate for stray animals, ensuring their safety and shelter. Alongside her activism, she has appeared in popular TV shows like Thapki Pyaar Ki, Gangaa, and Madhubala.
