Dua Lipa's recent Mumbai concert featured a viral mashup of her hit "Levitating" and Shah Rukh Khan's iconic track "Woh Ladki Jo," earning widespread praise online. However, singer Abhijeet Bhattacharya’s son, Jay Bhattacharya, voiced frustration over the lack of recognition for his father, who sang the original song from the 1999 film Baadshah.
In an Instagram post, Jay shared Dua’s performance video and criticized the media for sidelining singers in favor of actors. While acknowledging Shah Rukh Khan's pivotal role in the song’s popularity, Jay emphasized that his father, along with composer Anu Malik, deserves equal credit.
Jay expressed pride in his father’s decades-long dedication to music, highlighting his daily practice and live performances. He urged fans and the industry to respect artists beyond actors, lamenting how singers often go unrecognized despite their hard work and talent.
