Jani Master Arrested

Choreographer Jani Master, also known as Sheikh Jani Basha, who had been absconding for two days, has been arrested by the police. It was initially suspected that he had fled to Nellore, but the police tracked him down in Bengaluru.

A special police team apprehended Jani Master in Bengaluru and will present him directly at the Upparapalli local court before transferring him to judicial remand.

A female choreographer had filed a complaint accusing Jani Master of repeatedly sexually harassing and raping her. A Zero FIR was registered by the Raidurgam police, and the case was transferred to the Narsingi Police Station.

The police registered a case under the POCSO Act, as the victim was a minor at the time of the alleged crime. A special team was formed, leading to Jani Master's arrest. The sexual harassment redressal panel associated with the Film Chamber has also confirmed these allegations.
