Jaideep Ahlawat returned as Inspector Hathiram Chaudhary in Paatal Lok 2, the Amazon Prime Video series that made him a nationwide star. Amid reports that he hiked his fee 50 times for the new season, Ahlawat laughed off the claims, jokingly asking where the supposed Rs 20 crore had gone.
Reflecting on his acting journey, Ahlawat recalled his time at FTII, where he studied alongside Vijay Varma, Rajkummar Rao, and others. He noted that despite their busy careers, they remain in touch and instantly reconnect when they meet. The viral picture of their student days highlighted how far they had all come since joining FTII in 2005.
Currently, Paatal Lok 2 is streaming on Amazon Prime Video. Up next, Ahlawat will star alongside Saif Ali Khan in Jewel Thief, an upcoming Netflix film.
