IT Raid On Manjummel Boys Actor

The Income Tax (IT) department raided Malayalam actor Soubin Shahir's office in Kochi on 28 November, alongside searches at Parava Films and Dream Big Distributors. The action followed an ED probe into financial discrepancies involving Manjummel Boys, a blockbuster starring and produced by Shahir.

The investigation focuses on financial irregularities linked to the movie's production and distribution. Earlier, the ED filed an Enforcement Case Information Report (ECIR) in July 2024 against Shahir, his father Babu Shahir, and Shawn Antony, founders of Parava Films. Summons issued to the trio were reportedly ignored, prompting further action.

Since 2023, the ED has investigated black money allegations in the Malayalam film industry, conducting raids on multiple production houses.
