Actress and former Miss World Tourism 2018, Ishika Taneja, has left the entertainment industry to embrace a spiritual path. On January 29, she took a holy dip at the Maha Kumbh Mela on Mauni Amavasya, marking her transition into a sadhvi. She vowed to promote Sanatan Dharma and encouraged young women to follow the same path.
Ishika, a Rashtrapati Award winner in 2016, appeared in Indu Sarkar (2017) and Vikram Bhatt’s series Hadh. She also holds a Guinness World Record for completing 60 airbrush makeups in 60 minutes.
In January, she took Guru Diksha under Shankaracharya Swami Sadanand Saraswati Ji in Jabalpur. Dismissing claims of this being a publicity stunt, she stated she would never return to her old life. However, she expressed interest in producing films that promote Sanatan Dharma.
