Twelve years into her acting career Huma Qureshi values the lessons she learned as a newcomer and aims to support her co-stars Naveen Kasturia and Avantika Dassani in the same way she was helped.
She recalls a moment with the late actor Om Puri during the filming of Viceroy's House in 2017 where she felt overwhelmed as a newcomer. During an emotional scene she hesitated to ask for another take but Om Puri noticed and encouraged her to do so saying, “Do one for me.” This kindness left a lasting impression on her.
Now working with her co-stars in the thriller series Mithya, Qureshi emphasizes the importance of helping others in an industry known for its fierce competition. Despite facing challenges such as being dropped from films she reminds herself not to see herself as a victim. Instead she believes in elevating her craft and being open about her feelings when things go wrong.
