Govinda After Shooting Himself Accidentally

Bollywood actor Govinda accidentally shot himself in the leg on Tuesday morning while handling his gun at home in Mumbai. He was immediately rushed to Criti Care Hospital in Juhu and admitted to the ICU. 

After receiving treatment Govinda assured fans via a voice note that he was recovering well, thanking them for their prayers and the doctors for their quick assistance. The incident occurred around 4:45 am when Govinda was putting away his licensed gun, which slipped, fired, and hit his knee. 

His daughter Tina and staff quickly got him to the hospital. Mumbai Crime Branch officials are investigating why the gun was unlocked. Fans flooded social media with well-wishes for his recovery. Govinda has been less involved in showbiz since joining Shiv Sena earlier this year, with his last TV appearance as a judge on Dance Deewane in March.
