Actor Darshan Thoogudeepa has been granted interim bail in the Renuka Swamy murder case, where he was previously incarcerated. The Karnataka High Court has approved a six-week interim bail for him.
Darshan’s legal representatives argued for bail on health grounds, which the court acknowledged. The interim bail was granted by Justice S. Vishwajit Shetty, as it was noted that Darshan might need to undergo surgery. He requested bail to receive treatment for his spinal condition, and the court directed the authorities to provide a medical examination report.
Reports indicate that he may require physiotherapy or surgery. Additionally, another petition questioning the order of the trial court that denied him bail is still pending for hearing in the High Court.
