Kannada actress Pavithra Gowda was arrested in connection with the murder of 33-year-old pharmacy worker Renuka Swamy, alongside her close friend, actor Darshan Thoogudeepa.
A recent report states that Pavithra was taken to a government hospital near the Annapoorneshwari Nagar police station in Bengaluru after complaining of dizziness.
Deputy Commissioner of Police S. Girish clarified that Pavithra did not collapse and was not hospitalized.
She was given glucose and returned for questioning as she had low blood sugar, gastritis from not eating, and low blood pressure.
Renuka Swamy was found dead at Sumanahalli Bridge in Bengaluru on June 8, 2024. He had allegedly sent derogatory messages to Pavithra rumored to be Darshan's girlfriend.
The autopsy revealed Renuka died from shock and hemorrhage with 15 wounds on his body and had been tortured with electric shocks before his death.
Darshan, Pavithra and 13 associates have been arrested for the murder.
