Over 350 extras from Guntur and Vijayawada have accused the makers of Game Changer, starring Ram Charan and Kiara Advani, of failing to pay their promised Rs 1200 each. A police complaint was filed in Guntur, alleging that co-director Swargam Shiva had assured the payment but did not fulfill it. The extras urged director Shankar and producer Dil Raju to intervene and demanded action against Shiva.
The incident sparked public criticism on social media, with users tagging Ram Charan and his cousin Sai Durgha Tej, questioning why influencers were paid for promotions while hardworking extras were not compensated. Some also noted that such issues are common in the film industry.
Game Changer, released in January, follows an IAS officer fighting electoral corruption. Despite the controversy, the Rs 400-crore-budget film has grossed Rs 186.25 crore worldwide. The filmmakers have not yet responded to the allegations.
