Every now and then, a hero, writer, or some random film celebrity makes comments on Sandeep Vanga's 'Arjun Reddy' or 'Kabir Singh,' pointing out the misogyny in those films. The latest to join the list is another actor. Though he didnt criticise like others, he mentioned his stand and his ability to do such a role.
Recently Rajkummar Rao expressed in an interview that he would struggle to perform such a scene of slapping a girl or showing mysogynistic traits, stating he would need to have extensive discussions with the director if faced with a similar role.
Though Rajkummar might avoid roles like Kabir Singh, he is open to playing grey characters in the future. Currently, he is busy promoting Stree 2, the sequel to the 2018 hit Stree. The horror-comedy, featuring Shraddha Kapoor, Pankaj Tripathi, Aparshakti Khurana, and Abhishek Banerjee, is set to release on August 15. Fans eagerly await the film's release and Rajkummar’s return as the lovable Vicky.
