Fraud Case Against Five for Rs 1.50 Crore

The Chembur police have filed a case against five individuals for scamming 25 artists, including celebrities like Ankita Lokhande and Aayush Sharma, of nearly Rs 1.50 crore. The complaint was lodged by Andher Roshan Binder, a celebrity manager who provides artists for events. In July 2024, Binder received a request for 25 artists for an energy drink advertisement. The accused sent a fake receipt for a Rs 10 lakh advance payment and invited the artists to a party in Dadar.

At the event, 25 artists were chosen for the advertisement, with a total payment of Rs 1.32 crore. The accused sent a fake cheque for Rs 15 lakh as a payment guarantee.

Despite completing the shoot, several cheques, including Rs 6.5 lakh for Tejasswi Prakash and Rs 1.25 lakh for Adrija Roy, bounced. Binder also lost Rs 16.91 lakh from his personal funds.

The police are investigating the matter.
