Pushpa 2, released on December 4th, has rocked the box office and captivated Hindi audiences. The film has amassed an impressive worldwide gross collection of Rs 1,400 crore, making it the third-highest-grossing Indian film of all time, behind Dangal and Baahubali 2.
On the other hand, Kalki 2898 AD, also released this year, secured Rs 1,150 crore worldwide, placing it in the fifth position after RRR, which stands in fourth. However, Kalki 2898 AD is set for a January release in Japan. If it performs well in the Japanese market, its collections could increase significantly, potentially surpassing RRR to claim the fourth spot.
If Kalki 2898 AD extends its release to China or other international markets, it could challenge Pushpa 2 as well. Meanwhile, Pushpa 2 also has opportunities to expand into Japan, China, and other territories, which might boost its global collection even further.
The competition remains intense, and it will be exciting to see how these films fare on the global stage in the coming months.
