Today, Allu Arjun addressed the media to clarify allegations made against him by Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, ministers, and MLAs in the assembly. Speaking on the Sandhya Theatre incident, he stated that the tragic stampede was an unfortunate accident and that he had no role in it.
Speaking to the media, Allu Arjun expressed his regret over the incident, calling it a tragic accident. He revealed that he has been constantly monitoring the health updates of Srithesh, the young boy injured during the incident, and felt relieved to know that his health is improving. He added, "It hurts me when my character is being misrepresented. I did not conduct any roadshow outside the theatre; I only stepped out to greet the thousands of fans waiting for me." He also disclosed, "For the past 15 days, I've been deeply distressed. Despite working hard on this movie for three years, I haven’t even gone to the theatre to watch it myself."
Allu Arjun mentioned that after spending a short time watching the movie at the theatre, he learned about Revathi’s unfortunate demise due to the stampede only the following day. He stated that he intended to visit the hospital but was advised against it by police and close associates due to the registration of a case. "I have personally visited fans' families in the past when incidents occurred, including during the passing of Chiranjeevi and Pawan Kalyan fans. It is unfair to say I didn’t care when it came to my own fan’s tragic demise," he remarked. He further explained that he is eager to meet Srithesh and his family but awaits police permission. He added that even his father had to seek approval from authorities to visit.
Responding to Chief Minister Revanth Reddy’s comments alleging that he conducted a roadshow without permission, Allu Arjun expressed his disappointment and clarified that these accusations were based on misinformation. He emphasized that he does not wish to engage in any disputes with the government.
In conclusion, Allu Arjun reiterated that he had done nothing wrong and expressed his pain over being misunderstood. Whether this statement will bring an end to the controversy remains to be seen.
