Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister and actor Pawan Kalyan recently expressed frustration at fans chanting slogans about his film OG (Original Gangster) during political events.
During a visit to the Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS) in Kadapa, where he discussed an attack on a Mandal Parishad Development Officer, fans interrupted the event by shouting OG.
Responding to this, the makers of OG released a statement urging fans to respect the context and Pawan Kalyan’s political responsibilities. They reminded fans of his hard work for Andhra Pradesh and asked them to be patient until the movie’s release.
Directed by Sujeeth, OG stars Pawan Kalyan, Emraan Hashmi (in his Telugu debut), and others. Initially set for a September 2024 release, production delays have postponed the film. Meanwhile, Pawan Kalyan has other projects, including Hari Hara Veera Mallu, Ustaad Bhagat Singh, and a Telugu remake of Theri.
Considering the political situation and the present Dy CM position of Pawan Kalyan, rumors say that the makers may change the full form of OG in a positive way, instead of 'Original Gangster', something like 'Original Gladiator', 'Original Gentleman', or 'Original Godfather'.
