Police, led by Joint Commissioner Lakhmi Gautam and Daya Nayak, arrived at Salman Khan's Mumbai home after unknown people fired shots there.
It is known that the incident occurred early Sunday when two individuals on a motorcycle shot at least four rounds outside Khan's residence.
Despite heightened security and a search operation the assailants fled. Police collected the CCTV footage and formed 15 teams to find them. Salman Khan was at home during the shooting.
This isn't the first threat Khan has faced. Last year, he received an email threat from Goldy Brar, a gangster based in Canada, who declared Khan a target.
Following this, Mumbai Police filed a case against Brar, Lawrence Bishnoi, and another person for criminal conspiracy and intimidation.
