Controversial Scene Removed by Makers of Jatt

It’s been a week since Jatt was released. In the initial days, a particular scene in the film sparked objections from a section of the audience. At first, the makers didn’t pay much attention to the issue. However, once a legal case was filed regarding the matter, they quickly took action. The team not only issued a public apology but also removed the controversial scene from the film.

A complaint was lodged in Jalandhar, alleging that the scene in question hurt religious sentiments. The police registered a case under Section 299 and included director Gopichand Malineni, the lead actors, and the producers in the FIR. In response, the filmmakers decided to delete the scene from the film.

In an official statement, the makers said:

“There was opposition to a specific scene in the film. We have immediately removed that scene. It was never our intention to hurt the sentiments of any religious community. We deeply regret what has happened. We acted swiftly to remove the scene from the film and sincerely apologize to everyone whose beliefs may have been affected.”

The controversy stemmed from a scene in Jatt that showed Randeep Hooda’s character standing under a cross inside a church. Some viewers felt the portrayal was disrespectful towards Jesus and filed a complaint. The makers have now removed only that particular scene from the film.
