Himesh Reshammiya’s upcoming film Badass Ravi Kumar is set to hit theaters on February 7. The Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) granted the film a UA 16+ certificate on January 29 after several modifications were made. Changes included blurring an alcohol brand name and visuals of a middle finger gesture.
According to Bollywood Hungama, the CBFC’s Examining Committee also requested edits to sensual scenes. Close-ups of a bikini-clad woman, cleavage shots, and breast close-ups were replaced. Scenes showing a man’s hand on a woman’s thigh and buttock were modified, and a violent sequence involving a woodcutter machine was altered. Additionally, the word “b*tch” was muted in the audio and removed from subtitles.
After these adjustments, the film was cleared with a runtime of 2 hours, 21 minutes, and 44 seconds. Directed by Keith Gomes, it features Kirti Kulhari, Sunny Leone, Prabhu Deva, and Sanjay Mishra.
